Last week the NYT published an
editorial by Adam
Freedman about the
Second Amendment case we're waiting for the Court to hear. Freedman blogs at
Party of the First Part about the ongoing battle between legalese and plain English. I like Freedman. I identify with his obsessive disdain for legalese and love of plain Anglo-Saxon syntax. Freedman's editorial does a good job of summing up the textual wrangle in way that is precise, thorough, concise, and accessible. Well done.
